The Rainbow House Rehoming Project in observatory is an accommodation and upskill project run by previously homeless people themselves, and sponsored by the Rehoming Collective (an amalgamation of homeless people and many NGOs very experienced and involved in homelessness support for a considerable time in cape town)
Starting in 2022, several members are working and others seeking employment and meantime upskilling in various areas. They aim to be able, through self-employment, to pay their rental this is way in the future rather than rely only on subsidies.
We are currently helping with some of their food and gas needs. You can also contact the Rehoming Collective here
if you'd like to support them, or Carin at 066-3797168 , especially in work-related opportunities, or if you'd like to sponsor some training. and other needs.
